Water sources
There are more than 15 water sources spread out along the faultline that crosses the valley. Certain sources are used for thermal pools, others run freely and three of them feature publicly-accessible "taps" for refreshment. All of these sources contain bicarbonated mineral water mixed with metallic elements.
The Usclade source, located in front of the thermal station, offers hot, mineral-rich water intended for treatments for hépato-digestive disorders. It is the only source accessible to the public, the others being on private land (the Capus and Bourges sources).
The
Vernièresource
(located at the exit of Lamalou-les-Bains, in the direction of Les Aires)provides naturally sparkling water after traveling through the rock formations of South-East France where it takes on rich mineral content and its distinctive qualities. Fine, sparkling water delivered every day to those who savour its unique taste and
natural health benefits.
The rivers

The small valley of Lamalou-les-Bains is intersected by a faultline that runs from the Orb to the village of Boussagues. This faultline defines ancient natural boundaries, as well as vegetated land. The thermal springs that run along the faultline come up to the surface by traversing quartz-lined paths..
The Orb and Mare rivers
Another primary source, the Orb river provides the region with fresh waters. The Orb is essentially a gift from the sky, allowing sport fishing (professional fishing guide), canoeing/kayaking, family picnics and general relaxation on its banks. The Mare, a smaller river, also invites visitors to discover its winding route and unspoilt beached areas for bathing.
